Yao Zheng is a Certified Athletic Trainer, Licensed Massage Therapist, USAPL Powerlifting Club Coach, and Performance Enhancement Specialist. Having learned from some of the best clinicians and strength coaches throughout the last decade, Yao also had 6 years of sports medicine experience working with athletes from JUCO, D1, Olympic, NBA, and NFL.
He graduated from a highly competitive Athletic Training Program at the University of North Florida and received his Master’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of North Georgia. He completed 2 years Sports Medicine Fellowship program through Hughston Clinic, and studied abroad in Taiwan where he gained knowledge and hands-on experience utilizing Traditional Chinese Medicine. His passion for manual therapy led him to complete the massage therapy training through the Alpha School of Massage.
He is a Blue belt under 8th degree Black and Red belt, Luiz Palhares, Jacksonville Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. Having witnessed how underserved the BJJ community is, Yao has made it his mission to help empower grapplers and lifters on how to manage soft tissue injuries, alleviate pain and discomfort, regain confidence in movement, and optimize their athletic performance.
